Kam, would you have a chance to test build and install the packages

If you need help, I can lead you through it; it would be keen to get 
some feedback and confirmation of normal operation of the packages from 
a smart-aholic ;-) While I have been reviewing the package, I've never 
used smart nor smart-gui before so it might be that you find some issue 
that I didn't.
