mounting local filesystem (failed) on boot messages

On good (?) advice I did a

grub>setup (hd1)

when I should have done

grub>setup (hd0).

Grub works great but.... mounting local filesystem (failed) on boot messages

I went back to do
rescue
chroot /mnt/sysimage
umount /dev/sdb1
fsck /dev/sdb1

got back (clean) message but

 mounting local filesystem (failed) on boot messages remains

<everything> works great however

I read that after so many boots, the file system cleans itself
