Help! Core 6

I have been trying to get Sun SDK 5 to install correctly into
Core 6 I586 machine.....Frankly, I have been trying for several months!
I want to build Red5 server using Fedora core 6....I must have Sun
JDK5....I have all versions .... Version-9 NOT RPM...just the BIN version
I am doing an Ant1.7 build with Tomcat 5.5....
Any one have GOOD instructs????? There seems to be a bunch of
different ways to build....
