Problems Compiling MythTV on Fedora 8 64-bit Athlon Computer

Has anyone successfully compiled MythTV using Fedora 8 on a 64-bit
Athlon system with a pcHDTV 3000 card? When I try to compile I get:
ERROR! You must have FreeType installed to compile MythTV.
The latest version of freetype is installed.
I also get errors complaining about ffmpeg-conf:
