What is the first line of your script? Is it "#!/bin/bash"? Is it marked
as executable? Is there more information you can give as to what is
happening?

Here is my rc.local file, my script is the last line;

#!/bin/sh
#
# This script will be executed *after* all the other init scripts.
# You can put your own initialization stuff in here if you don't
# want to do the full Sys V style init stuff.

touch /var/lock/subsys/local
/home/Scripts/./dumon
