Difference between IDE and SCSI ??

Right, but isn't the new kernel schema to consider all drives SCSI until
the data hits a module that patch-cords everything not true SCSI to ATA,
SATA, or whatever that really exists, yet still calls them SCSI to keep
it simple for the kernel? Isn't that a speed-up of sorts? Ric
