Wow, guess you did read it right. I stopped smartpanel on the Fedora 7
computer and CPU usage instantly dropped to 3-4%, memory used to 270
megs (with System Monitor, Firefox, Gedit, etc.

Thank you so much Rick, Tim, Phil.

Now I've got to figure out why the FC2 machine got better on it's own,
unless I accidentally stopped smartpanel there myself. Both machines
still print on the Samsung without problems.

Time to ask Samsung what they know about this. Thanks again folks, you
are a great help.
