As I mentioned earlier today, I just set up my new ATI video card using the
rpms from livna.  All I had to do was install the driver and log out and log
back in; from there everything just worked.  (I would have preferred to avoid
the proprietary driver, but I couldn't figure out how to get the vesa driver to
provide the proper resolution for my wide-screen monitor.)

Livna also offers rpms for Nvidia, so you might have better luck if you try
installing it that way.
