Fedora with Intel Q35 chipset

Hello

I am trying to make video work on Q35 Intel chipset with GMA 3100.

There are two difficulties:

1.. With the new software (Fedora, 7, 8, 9alpha, and Xorg > 7.2 and intel video driver that comes with the distro) there are quality issues (mostly related to HD content - lines appear, sometimes making picture jittery ).
The problem apparently is with the new Xorg.

Now when trying to use old Xorg (Fedora 6, that comes with Xorg 7.1)

2.. the intel drivers cannot recognize the hardware (not 'intel' driver, nor 'iegd' driver that is available on Intel site and that is compiled according to the instructions).

Any ideas how to approach this problem?

Thanks in advance

alek
