Another MP3 player question

When I connect my iAudio mp3 player to my Fedora 7 system it get
mounted automatically, a 'portable music player' icon shows up on the
desktop.
The Banshee music player loads the contents of the player and allows
me to copy tracks to and from the player.

On Fedora 8 the player is mounted as removable storage and not
recognized as music player.
Where is the F7 magic configured? The dmesg output looks the same on
both machines, so I think it is something I have to configure in
Gnome.
