I'm thinking more about this, I have the UID and GID setup on LDAP so 
all systems are consistent with each other.  So this won't be a problem 
in my setup.  I should be able to use an NFS mount.

So I think I'm back to my original question which unfortunately no one 
seems to have an answer for.
