I read postings that referred to custom.conf

locate custom.conf
/etc/gdm/custom.conf
/etc/gdm/custom.conf.livna-config-backup

cat /etc/gdm/custom.conf
# GDM configuration storage

[xdmcp]

[chooser]

[debug]
