You can modify grub.conf and remove "rhgb" from it and
you should see all messages.  

grub.conf should be in here

/boot/grub/grub.conf


root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 rhgb quiet to

root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 

and all should work.
