KDE 4 unreliable on my machine

Neither of those sounds like a kde issue/bug to me.  konsole hangs or
screens garbled points to something lower level, imo.

That said, I've not seen or heard of anyone else with similar problems, nor
do I have much insight on how to debug it further unfortunately.
