$ rpm -q VMware-server
VMware-server-1.0.6-91891.i386
$ rpm -q kernel
kernel-2.6.25.9-76.fc9.i686
$

Note, Patrick, that I mentioned VMware *Server* not Workstation. I do
not know whether that matters.
