USB keyboard stopped working

Hi,

I downloaded and recompiled the kernel source RPM for the 2.6.25.6-55
kernel. I did this because Fedora 9 won't recognize DVDs burned in my
DVDRW under Fedora 7. After doing the make menuconfig and recompiling
and installing, the resulting kernel runs fine, but it won't use my USB
keyboard. When I plug in a PS2 keyboard it works fine. And while a PS2
mouse that was working before works fine, a USB trackball fails to run
also. Both devices are recognized when plugged in, and the keyboard
works during the BIOS test but doesn't in either console or X.

 From dmesg,

hub 1-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 3
usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 9

I used to get the "unable to enumerate USB device" message with the
stock Fedora 9 kernel as well, but the keyboard worked.

The change failed to fix the DVD problem, so I could probably go back to
the stock kernel, but I removed a ton of garbage I don't use, and added
some things I want to use, and the performance seems to be snappier, so
I would rather still use it. I'm going to be modifying the DVD drivers
to try to get them to work in Fedora 9 with my DVDRW anyway.

Is there some obvious fix for this problem that will enable the USB
devices to work? My wrists will thank you. :-)
