Too many mails from mailing list

If you have a newsreader, you can go to gmane.org.  They offer the list 
as a newsgroup.  You can respond to messages, but it seems that the 
header information is lost because the responses don't thread correctly, 
though they do get to the list.  At least that was my experience last 
time I tried it.
