emacs problem: atk-bridge-WARNING

  Hello guys,
       I have a problem with emacs on my Fedora 8 laptop.
[It may be related to running fglrx, but it doesn't say so]
Normally I start emacs from a gnome-terminal, and that terminal
gradually fills up with the following error:
(emacs:27440): atk-bridge-WARNING **: failure: no device event
controller found.

This usually appears when I page up or down.
   Does anyone  know if there is a fix for this? It is not serious, just
annoying.
