preupgrade and WWW proxy

  Hello there,
          I used preupgrade to prepare an F8 system for F9. There
was however not enough room in /boot for stage2.img, so preupgrade
said it would get it at boot time.
    Unfortunately, the corporate firewall prevented the bootup
system from getting the stage2, even when the appropriate proxy
ws provided - somehow it is being ignored. 
  It is hard for me to debug - I moved the machine outside the firewall
and all was well, but I filed a bug anyway..
