Not. F9 uses upstart and things have changed. It's going to take some
getting used to. /etc/inittab now contains only one line:

        id:5:initdefault:

The relevant file seems to be /etc/event.d/prefdm, so you need to look
in there (it runs /etc/X11/prefdm so maybe there's a problem
in /etc/sysconfig/desktop).
