dual monitor problem

Hi Paul,

My LCD Philips is only capable of 1280x768 @ 60Hz. I try to change the
resolution of the laptop to 1024x768 and after restarting both two LCD were
working. But I've noticed the screen resolution of the laptop was turn into
big / larger width unlike before which is fit resolution (1024x768 default
without hooking up the external Philips LCD monitor).

Here's the output from xrandr command.

I try to use xrandr shown below but it's never work and I don't know how to
use it just to fix the problem. I found your message

xrandr --output VGA-0 --mode 1024x768 --output LVDS-0 --mode1024x768
--left-of VGA-0

and nothing happens.
