Help Requested in Choosing a Power Linux Laptop/Notebook with Multimedia.

Whatever happened to the "lunchboxes", that used much cheaper standard
gear inside, with a built-in LED screen and a fold down almost REAL
keyboard? Cheap to fix, just a huge honking battery to add to the weight
was the only real issue. Anyone using one successfully? Ric
