Fedora 10 Preview: cupsd problem

Network printing from windows to my linux box is hit or miss.  It seems
to take a long time for the printer (Brother HL5050) to show up even on
the local box using smbclient.  Also, netstat -t -n shows over 930
entries of the form:

tcp  0 0 127.0.0.1:49166   127.0.0.1:631    TIME_WAIT 

whenever a windows machine is online.

Any ideas?
