how to debug sshd

I upgraded a machine to f10 and no I cant logon using ssh.
# ssh localhost   #works.
#ssh MYIP
fails
and I get a line in /var/log/messages

How do I collect a coredump of sshd or attach a gdb to it?

The problem is probably somewhere in my huge nis maps.
