RPC is Remote Procedure Call. What does "rp" mean? Or do you mean the
"r-commands" (rsh, rcp etc.)? If so, they having nothing to do with RPC.
It's usually a good idea to disable them because of security weaknesses,
especially as there are analogous apps (ssh, scp etc.) which are much
more secure.

Don't disable RPC if you expect to use NFS or NIS; otherwise you're
unlikely to need it
