evolution crashes before it starts

Hello.

I belive I had a hd failure on my /home
Now, when I start evolution, it crashes before it starts.

from command line, this is what I get:

[henning at saturn ~]$ evolution

following this message I get a long list called backtrace.

the two first lines starting with ** is identical to what I get on an other
machine, but the third line:
*** glibc detected *** evolution: double free or corruption (out):
0x000000397436da70 ***  

is not on the other machine.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to rescue my mails

I have done fsck -f on the home partition, and fixed some errors, but the errors
is still the same.

BTW, this is f10 but I am pretty sure that is irrelevant.
