grub FC7 vs. FC9/10

Did the ext3 change between FC7 and FC9 ?
However, if I do not use grub, I do not have any problem to access to the
file from a FC7 even if I formatted in FC10 !

Yes, I am going to do it again !
But then, I am going to upgrade to FC10, so, what is going to happen
with ext3 ? Does fsck update something ?
