Try typing

    lspci -nn

If the entry for Atheros ends with [168c:001c] (rev 01) then it's most
likely an AR5007EG.

Alternatively, look at it under Windows.

I installed 64 bit driver

        madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6-r3861-20080903

for my AR5007EG and it appears to be working fine but I really haven't
had time to stress test it.
