F9/gnome: sometimes the background pattern of nautilus windows becomes crazy

If sometimes traversing folders by nautilus (especially going upwards),
then the background pattern of the nautilus window is destroyed to some
crazy pattern.
In those cases, "edit->background and emblems" in the nautilus window
does not help: I have to logout and re-login, then the background
pattern becomes ok as previously.
Somebody has similar problems?
