Beartooth:

1A. Open a terminal window (from the Gnome menu, Applications, System
Tools, Terminal)

OR:

1B. Open a non xterm by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F2 and logging in and then logging in.

THEN:

type:

vimtutor

and press Enter.
