Temperature of external usb disks in F10?

Hi,

howto get the drive temperature of an external USB disk in F10?
In F11, the tool palimpsest does it, but not in F10 (palimpsest belongs 
to gnome-disk-utility-0.1-0.git20080720.fc10.i386).

hddtemp has problems too.
