Thanks Max!
Your script is a nice example of perl scripting. It would be useful for
people who often change file encoding. My solution was:
for f in folder/*; do
iconv -f koi8-r -t utf8 $f > tmp.tmp
mv tmp.tmp $f
done
in a bash script.
