I have no xorg.conf but according to the logs X is using EXA. I also
tried the winpos demo (/usr/lib64/mesa/winpos) which now works and used
to lock up every time. I've never had random lockups under F11 (and I
still don't) but I don't use fancy composition effects so YMMV. I also
haven't tried turning on modeswitching but that never seemed to make a
difference before.
I would encourage all interested parties to test this and report to BZ
while it's still in updates-testing. My original bug report is at
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=510948 but there may be
better ones.
