Well, if you setup a bootable liv usb stick with an overlay, you can
download gparted to that, and it will stick around :-).

(And if only I know what an "overlay" actually was, I might have
some idea why it took liveusb-creator 20 minutes to format a 4 meg
overlay on my usb stick :-).
