Recompile kernel without SMP

Roberto,

It compiles correctly, but "uname -a" still says SMP.

And kernel is indeed SMP because I see it the dmesg.

Sorry, I reread your first message and realized that what
you have done is not as wrong as it looked to me.
You are copying the config back to the SOURCES dir, so
the rpmbuild -bb is correct.

The resulting rpm contains the config as a file
named /boot/config-2.6.*
Are your changes showing there?
