Hi, folks!
Today I discovered solution for my relatively old problem of sharing
USB-printer with windows machine via network. I was vainly searching for
solution in CUPS configuration when the actual problem [as usual] was on
window$ side. So, here's my receipt (for those who demand):
Step 1:
Configure your printer using CUPS-web-interface. To do that open
http://localhost:631/
And don't forget to check 'Share This Printer' at some step!
Step 2:
On window$ machine install new printer selecting 'Network type' and
provide URI:
http://<YourFedoraMachineIP>:631/printers/<YourPrinterName>. As
mentioned above, the URI is the result of opening your printer' page in
CUPS-web-interface. And (here goes the solution of my problem) select on
window$ machine 'Generic' as the manufacturer and 'MS Publisher
Imagesetter' as the driver for the printer.
That's all! Now THEY can print from their window$ machines.
Respectfully
