nautilus does not display linux network places

I have submitter bugzilla bug 545535

In F12 when you open a nautilus Windows and try to display
Places->Network, Windows computers on the LAN are displayed but not
Linux computers. In F11 this worked correctly.

Does this work correctly for the rest of you. If so could you guess what
I am doing wrong and tell me?

Someone posted yesterday that he was having related problems. Help is
requested.
