be sure that you have this package...

xorg-x11-drv-synaptics

check to see if you have two finger scrolling enabled with the utility 
gnome-mouse-properties...

also options no longer go in the xorg.conf and instead should be 
migrated to a hal fdi configuration; placed in /etc/hal/fdi/policy/
