Booting sparkly new F12 install, error 13 from grub.

And that didn't work either. :(

Next question:  I've edited the F12 version of grub/device.map to include all 
drives in their sata# order.  It had only "(hd0,0)	/dev/sdb" before.

I see by the grub file on the F12-x64 dvd that it is still grub-0.97 so it 
isn't grub2, which I initially thought might be the problem.

Is it safe to do a "grub-install /dev/sdb" from an F10 boot?

Or from a rescue session from the F12 dvd?

Will that destroy the existing boot from /dev/sda?
