Sometimes a good old 'service network restart' does the trick.
I do not use NetworkManager on my nc2400 with my iwl card, I use
wpa_supplicant and I use wpa_cli to force things. Rather old style, but
it is Centos! (really love Centos, I have it on over a dozen systems in
my house).
