Service to run user-owned init scripts at boot time?

You could always cook up a small package to add this to rc.local.
Better would to use puppet or perhaps func for this sort of task.
With puppet, you'd edit the rc.local script on the puppetmaster and
then all of the puppet clients would pick it up automatically.
