Version 1.4.5 is kind of old.

The current version is: *1.5.1* (released May 23, 2008).

If one uses the same skin, it is difficult to distinguish (visually)
audacious from xmms,
and audacious eats a lot more of CPU cycles.

Using top, in a quadcore Q6600 (4GB ram), xmms eats in the average 8% (peek
of 12%) of CPU and audacious 14% (peek of 21%), both with the pulse plugin.
