the filesystem type of ext4 partition detected as ext3

Hi all , I'm now using Fedora 10 with GNOME
Just now I created a partition for data backup on my removable hard
disk and mkfs.ext4 on it
When I right-click the partition icon on the Desktop and watch it
Properties , it said Filesystem type: ext3

Then I checked it again with mount , and its information is right :
/dev/sdb1 on /media/disk type ext4 (rw,nosuid,nodev,uhelper=hal)

Is that a GNOME problem or the Fedora one ? thx ;)
