you do not mention if you have run sha1sum on burned disk, nor if you can
mount and read any/all files.

'sha1sum /dev/sr0'

'dd if=/dev/sr0 of=/dev/null' will show if dvd disk is bad.

with dvd mounted 'find /media/dvd -depth | cpio -o -Bcv >/dev/null' will
show a bad file.
