Yes, POP is bad for using outside of a closed network.  All your logon
credentials going out in the clear...  That's why we have the various
encryption methods available for mail (applicable to POP3, and other
protocols).

Don't send private replies to my address, the mailbox is ignored.  I
read messages from the public lists.
