F11 upgrade - worse than Windows

Increasing priority will probably not be helpful - but from the shell, you can issue

renice --10     where  is the anaconda process id.

You could also drastically decrease the priority of the Xserver by

renice +20 

Again, I doubt it would help very much at all.
