Yum configuration for multiple architectures

x86_64 can be installed strictly as 64 bit or as "multilib" with support for both 64 bit programs or 32 bit programs.  It is an adventure in computing as there are things one wants to do that don't have x86_64 support yet, but the x86_64 and 33 bit libraries can get out of synchronization with a failed update which can be a problem to restore.  You have both worlds.
