update viewer: terrible user interface (imo)

Are you using KDE or GNOME?

I'll assume you're using GNOME PackageKit. If you need to do this,
right click on the update list and select "Security updates".

Sounds a bit like ranting to me. You could have filed a bug, read the
documentation or searched google before posting.
