Can I have a 64-bit kernel with 32-bit userland ?

I'd say you have to install the 32 bit distro and then
manually install the 64 bit kernel.

Then you have to be a little careful with updates
as yum will be confused by this kernel with wrong architecture.

(never tried that, but interested in this matter)
