apcupsd and mge ups?

MGE is a significant sponsor of nut. I have a couple of USB Novas that I
use with nut and they work reasonably well.
The problems I have are several lost contact false positives a day and rarely
the connection gets messed up in a way that I need to replug the USB cable
in order to reset things.
